Death's Door

Death's Door is an action-adventure indie game available exclusively for Netflix customers. Developed by Acid Nerve and published by Devolver Digital, in Death's Door you control a crow who is an agent of the Reaping Commission. His mission is to collect the souls of the dead. In one of the missions, you lose one of the souls, and your objective is to get it back to restore balance to the Commission.

Wide variety of enemies in this fantasy game

The aesthetics of Death's Door blend a fantasy cartoon world with excellent quality in a game with a medieval setting. The game is played in a top-down view, so you will be able to see most of the levels at all times. You will encounter all kinds of characters and enemies along the way. Your enemies' abilities will be vastly different, as there are flying enemies, others that teleport, and others that will attack you at high speed. In each level, you will face a final boss to complete the dungeon and continue on your way.

Simple controls and challenging combat

The controls in Death's Door are very simple. You have a joystick on the left of the screen to move your character through each setting. To attack, you have two options: use melee attacks for enemies that come at you, or use the bow for enemies a certain distance away. For melee attacks, you can use swords or hammers. For the bow, you have a maximum of four shots, and, to recover arrows, you will have to hit enemies with your back. For each successful hit on an enemy, you will receive one arrow. There is also a button to somersault forward. If you hit the attack button as you perform a somersault, you will do even more damage to enemies. Finally, you have the action button, which allows you to interact with different elements in each level, such as doors or seeds.

A map full of secrets

Seeds are a key part of Death's Door, since, with them, you can get health back or unlock additional items. These seeds can be found lying in plain sight or in hidden places scattered around the map. The more you explore, the more upgrades you will find. Dialogue in Death's Door is replete with a great sense of humor, and will have you reflecting on life, death and existence in general.
